UBC Farm’s Growing Season Workshop Series presents our last workshop of the season:

Fermenting Fall Foods
With local chef Andrea Potter


Tuesday October 21, 6-9pm

Learn to preserve the harvest using the ancient technique of lacto-fermentation!
We will be making kimchi, sauerkraut and brined pickles
Yum yum yum!


Cost: $35 (plus $0.99 registration fee) *Fermenting workshops range from $40-80 ~ this is a great deal! Includes the cost of ingredients.

Registration: Limited to 15 people. Please register online with Eventbrite. **Please note that our Growing Season Workshops now all require advance payment.**

What to bring: Paper, pen and wide mouth mason jars to bring home some goodies to ferment!

Presenter Bio:
Andrea is a whole-foods chef. She is currently heading up the kitchen at Radha Yoga and Eatery in Vancouver. Andrea teaches classes and workshops on fermenting food and quick and easy whole foods cooking. She is also a student of holistic nutrition. She is passionate about food culture and the benefits of whole foods.

This event is part of the UBC Farm Growing Season Workshop Series. We are opening a handful of lectures and workshops that are part of our "Sowing Seeds for the Future" Apprenticeship Program to our farm community. Come join us for a workshop, gain new skills and knowledge, and help support the UBC Farm! This workshop will be our last one for the 2008 season. It has been a great year!
